Holistic Highlight: Literacy + Financial Trainings

At Imani Collective, we are committed to not only caring for the physical needs of our artisans through initiatives like our food program, but also caring for their minds by educating them with knowledge they can take with them the rest of their lives, growing their confidence and setting them up for long-term success. Education is a crucial first step of empowerment, and is also a large barrier for marginalized women in Kenya. By providing literacy courses as well as financial training to teach our artisans how to budget and plan for their futures, women are empowered to take control of their own journey and sustainably rise above poverty.
